Beatrice Ekesa is a Kenyan post-graduate student at the University of Nairobi pursuing her Master of Arts in Literature. She is also a holder of a Bachelor of Education (Arts) degree from Maseno University,
where she specialized in English and Literature. She holds a certificate in ICT Integration in Teaching and Learning awarded by the Ministry of Education, Kangundo District, and a certificate in Education Management from the then Kenya Education Staff Institute (KESI), now Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI). She is a teacher of English and Literature and the patron for the Drama Club at Kangundo High School in Machakos County.

Other than teaching, Beatrice has also coordinated gender rights activities for schools in Busia county on behalf of the Centre for Law and Research International (CLARION) in conjunction with the Ministry of Education, while teaching at St. James Nasewa Secondary School. She is also one of the adjudicators for English verses in Kangundo Sub-County during the Kenya Music Festival for Schools and Colleges.

She has also participated in a number of workshops and seminars including the Metropolitan Regional Drama Workshop held at Lysak - Haven Park Hotel in Machakos county in 2015, and the Gender Rights Exposure and Planning Workshop organized by CLARION in 2008, at the Wida Highway Motel, Nairobi.
