Beatrice Jane Ekesa is a Kenyan high school teacher currently on a J-1 exchange teacher programme with the Sumter School District in South Carolina, USA, sponsored by the Foreign Academic and Cultural Exchange Services Inc. She is also pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy degree in literature at the University of Nairobi. She is a poet as well as a literary critic. Her work is published in peer reviewed journals including the Journal of Critical Studies in English and Literature and the Nairobi Journal of Literature.
